The idea for RKA was started in 1983 with one bag we decided to try and market, thinking we would become at least millionaires in a year!! NOT!

The business was actually started in March of 1985.

We started with only one item and have expanded to the products you see in this online brochure

Richard & Kathy (The R&K) are both from the thoroughbred race horse industry.

Kathy had her own business in Arcadia California for 13 years, making jockey silks and accessories for the racing industry.

Richard has 7 years of restaurant management, and also was an Owner/Trainer of thoroughbred race horses. this profession has been in the family for over three generations.

Richard & Kathy currently own several motorcycles, When we started these were the cats meow ... a 1983 Suzuki Katana 750 with 73,000 miles and still going!, A 1997 Suzuki TL1000S, 1999 SV650 Suzuki, and then a 2005 BMW R1200ST and F800R
