We lost a great one last month ....
Kathy and I paralleled his career since the beginning.
We watched him grow up.
We stayed at the same motels, parked next to each other at restaurants, watched him become a MotoGP Champion.
Nicky was our hero! We will miss him dearly.

This is a must watch "TED" interview with Robert Sapolsky | The biology of our best and worst selves
Who is Robert Sapolsky? RobertMorrisSapolsky(born April 6, 1957) is an American neuroendocrinologist and author. He is currently a professor of biology, and professor of neurology and neurological sciences and, by courtesy, neurosurgery, at Stanford University.

How can humans be so compassionate and altruistic -- and also so brutal and violent? To understand why we do what we do, neuroscientist Robert Sapolsky looks at extreme context, examining actions on timescales from seconds to millions of years before they occurred. In this fascinating talk, he shares his cutting edge research into the biology that drives our worst and best behaviors.
So what/who is "TED"?
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.
So what/who is Richard Battles?
I thought I would put a disclaimer on this section.
NONE of these posted videos are meant to be political in anyway.
Kathy and I try to find the most interesting and up to date "TED talks" to share with you.
We do not want to lean anyone to one side or the other of anything.
These are just really cool talks with interesting people.
Maybe Kathy and I will start a new series for the newsletter called “KIDS and motorcycling” We will need a little help from YOU.
Last week we were at the 49ner rally in Mariposa California, and two participants brought “KIDS” as their pillions.
Recently we have been discussing the future of “Clubs, Rallies, Motorcycling” and how they are going to grow if at all.
THEN our friends at “Backroads” published their June issue and the editorial was ……. “July is take a kid for a ride month”.
So give us input, and stand by for more to come.

What are the obvious new features and are they worth the money?
RKA offers the Garmin Virb sport camera and you will understand why as I explain Nav VI features.
Here are some of the other new features
1: Better screen:
The new Navigator VI features a resistive 5-inch touch window display that is easy-to-read, particularly under bright sunlight conditions
2: Streams music from your smartphone:
The Navigator VI has the power to stream music via Bluetooth, which lets riders enjoy and control their favorite music from a compatible Apple or Android device as well as other Bluetooth media sources through the navigator to a Bluetooth headset.
3: Remotely controls a Garmin Virb Camera:
The Navigator VI can be used to control Garmin VIRB action cameras (sold separately) wirelessly to record video, snap pictures during a ride, and show off meaningful video with G-Metrix sensor data built within the action camera that can show how far, how high, and how fast users went during a ride.
4: Followme APP:
The Navigator VI allows you to be followed by just sending an invitation. Here are some images of this feature as I returned from Redding recently.
Last year I rode to Grand Junction for a Honda ST club rally.
While looking for a room in Ely, which we have gone through 100 times before I discovered they had a rail road museum there!
AND they offered a steam engine train ride!
I had to do this train ride!
I made room reservations and train reservations.
It’s only 560 miles to Ely but I left Windsor at 3:00 AM so I could arrive in Ely in time to check into my room and get to the station/Museum and look around.
Here are just a few of the photos I took.
We are always working on the new 2017 schedule and it is posted on our Event/Schedule page.
The BMW National is locked in. We will have the big rig right in front of the "Grand Room" The main indoor vendor area with a 20x40 display.
